Tbilisoba this weekend – Georgia’s most colorful festival

In Georgia, autumn is always associated with Tbilisoba, one of the most colorful, diverse and tasty festivals of the year. The festival that celebrates the history and rich culture of Georgia’s capital was first held in 1979 and since then it has become an annual celebration. This year Tbilisoba will be held on October 15-16 and it will occupy the central districts and old parts of the city. Many entertaining events are planned in relation to the festival and one of the major spots where one can enjoy the festival at its best will be recently renovated historical Aghmashenebeli Avenue, now known as New Tiflis. As promised, the guests will be able to observe various performances, Georgian folk dances, live concerts of popular Georgian musical bands, as well as have an opportunity to enjoy delicious Georgian food and staples such as mtsvadi, Georgian barbecue, churchkhela, Georgian candy with nuts and grape juice, sample Georgian cheese and large number of wines. Those tourists, who have planned their visit on this weekend, are really fortunate enough to be part of this massive feast and celebration and experience the lively spirit of the city.
